Special Halloween Treats and Tricks for Your Guests

Halloween usually comes on a weekday, so most are “dead on their feet” from working all day. Prepare up a low maintenance buffet filled with
halloween treats . Food that you can prepare ahead of time and will feed a lot of people at the party, such as a soft cheese spread served in a skull bowl, is perfect! Look for a store that sells skull pans, skeleton gelatin molds, and much more in the way of mortuary knickknacks. Choose a few of skull pans, and use one for the skull-mold cheese appetizer, and the other one to make a spooky skull cake for dessert. Round out the buffet with vegetables and dip, and some “food on the bone,” such as Buffalo wings.

Halloween Treats

Nothing says sweet treat not trick like a Pumpkin martini. Add vanilla vodka, pumpkin liqueur, Schnapps and spice to a shaker with ice and stir well. Strain into a cooled martini glass and garnish with a few dried pumpkin seeds. For some extra sweetness and fun, spray the top of the cocktail with whipped cream and then add the pumpkin seeds. This is the ideal welcome cocktail for any grown-up halloween celebration. It’s sure to make your friends feel welcome and put them in a spooktacular mood, and set the stage for a terrifying night that is sure to be a wickedly fabulous time.

A Skewered Antipasto Pumpkin is a party food item that is easy to ready, easy to eat while in costume, and of course–frighteningly delicious! Select an orange or green pumpkin or gourd that is medium to large and is a bit soft. Use long wooden skewers and choose items like cherry tomatoes, salami chunks, mozzarella balls, different olive assortments, roasted peppers, pepperoncini, etc. Once you’ve created the skewers you can refrigerate them and then, just before the party, skewer them to the pumpkin. Use a hammer and nail if needed to start the holes in the pumpkin for the skewers.
